DOES SELF-EVALUATION ADD TO BIAS?

Kunga Dhoedon

Saturday:

The majority of persons rate themselves as superior to others, and they do so across a wide array of positive attributes. Positive discrepancies of this type correlate positively with self-esteem and positive affect. However, it is argued that judgments of others are not an appropriate baseline for assessing bias in self-evaluation. Society inherent the sense of belongingness within individual which tends to interact with each other. It is very critical to question how people interact with each other? In the first place, the social action that Weiber mentions is instrumentally rational action, where the end and the means are all rationally taken into account and weighted.

The rational consideration of alternatives implies that it leads to the struggle for power and the consequences of that leads to the independence decision. But this kind of social interaction is not always the case in the social action, value-rational action, effectual orientation, and traditional action. Yet all of these actions are the elements that take place during the individual interaction. Each of these is taken into account independently of its prospect to success. Individuals reflect the emotion differently given the condition that everything thing is the same near him/them. For example, When Issac newton critically evaluates: Why the apple falls downward?

He started analyzing the reason. His intelligence reflects in a different way. He builds up his assumption and the theory starts developing in a way that now in today's era it is carried out as a universal fact. Yet during the newton discoveries, many scientists don’t believe in what newton is proving. They critically evaluated the problem on his bias!

Each individual has a different belief. The understanding of the environment is perceived by the belief it inherits, learns, and experiences. Therefore, struggle for the power of an individual lead to the independent decision. “Power is the probability that one actor within the social relationship will be in a position to carry out his own will despite resistance”. In social situations typically defines as relation or domination.

“Domination is the probability that the command will be obeyed” It is power and legitimacy. The people who hold power try to legitimate what they do! On the other hand, the individuals legitimize themselves by motivating and making it by their own interest rather than acting out of power. Individuals try to internalize and believe that it is good for certain activities they are doing it.

Not only that, we have the tendencies to call the blind spot bias in practical psychology. Let say “ If I ask you how biased you are?” you would probably say that you are less biased than the average person and you are more likely to take judgment on statistic and the fact that is known as blind-spot bias. It is because of the fact that you think you are less biased than everyone else. So self-evaluation is multiplied motivated. Two persons exhibiting the same level of self-exaggeration may do so for very different reasons. The relation between self-evaluation bias and positive or negative outcomes appear to depend on the motivational factors that underlie it.

Dalai Lama's Successful Knee Surgery at HSS in New York Brings Hope.

The Dalai Lama underwent a successful knee surgery at the renowned Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York. His arrival in the United States was marked by a warm welcome from thousands of well-wishers, demonstrating the immense global admiration and respect he commands. The 88-year-old spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism has been dealing with knee issues for some time. According to Radio Free Asia (RFA), medical experts had suggested that a successful surgery on his right knee would not only alleviate pain and improve mobility in that knee but also help the left knee function better. They anticipated that with successful surgery and proper rehabilitation, His Holiness might be able to walk properly within three weeks. The surgery, performed by a team of expert surgeons at HSS, was aimed at addressing the degeneration and pain that had been affecting his mobility. The Hospital for Special Surgery is globally recognized for its expertise in orthopedics and joint care, making it a

“AN ANALYSIS OF THE BASIC EDUCATION POLICY OF THE TIBETANS IN EXILE” POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY

In March 1959, His Holiness the 14 th  Dalai Lama fled to India after China occupied Tibet.  In India, the Dalai Lama saw the importance of providing education to young children in  exile community to nurture them as future seeds of Tibet. The Dalai Lama requested  Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru to consider Tibetans to have separate schools which impart  not only modern education but also preserve Tibetan culture and identity.              The first Tibetan school was set up in the year 1960 in Mussoorie (Central School for  Tibetans, Mussoorie). Liberal education policy is designed as a lifelong process to maximize the capability and self-fulfillment of individuals, thereby maximizing their full potential,  and enriching their lives, together with that of the community of which each is a part.  Primarily libertarians believe in  individual  rights. The Tibetan establishment of school  and its education Policy is not within the state of Tibet. People were very much focus on strengthen th

INDIA-CHINA CONFLICT

Kunga Dhoedon. India-China Conflict:  India enjoyed the borderless exchange of culture, goods, and language for a long time with the Tibet till 1959. Both states mutually respect each other sovereignty. Yet, in the amid of cold war chaos and the newly recognized nation India (1949) incapable to extend its hand to the neighborhood country (snow cap mountain) has to accept the fate to consider China as a new neighboring country for almost seventy years to date. Cultural and economic relation between Tibet and India dating back to ancient times was as beautiful as the Teacher and students relation. The very important landmark we can recall in history is the Silk Road. The Silk Road was not only served as a major trade route between both countries but also credited for facilitating the spread of Buddhism from India to East Asia. Most of the research base writing especially on the research area on India- China relations also known as Sino-Indo relations, which refers to the bilateral relati
